d. 20th September 2021, Trenton, New Jersey, U.S.A.
Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Sarah Dash joined the group Labelle before signing to the Kirschner label as a solo artist in 1978.
Here her debut self titled album featured the disco anthem 'Sinner Man'.
'Ooh La La' was released in 1979, and featured the late Phyllis Hyman, (amongst others) on vocal chores.
In the mid-'80's she teamed up with Dr York for the duet 'It's Too Late', then in 1988 signed to Manhattan (via EMI) for 'You're All I Need', including a title track duet with Patti Labelle, a duet 'Don't Make Me Wait' with Ray, Goodman & Brown, and 'To Tell You The Truth'.
Sarah toured with Keith Richards in the 1990's.
She recorded the excellent duet 'Make No Mistake' with him and she took the lead vocal on 'Time Is On My Side,' which Keith, said is the best version of that song he's ever heard.
Sarah, sadly passed away, at her home in New Jersey, in September 2021, at the age of 76.
